Unboxing: January’s Birchbox

Birchbox Jan 15

I love waiting for my monthly subscription boxes…it’s like Christmas several times a month (yes I get a lot)! Many beauty boxes have come and gone but Birchbox (£10 plus £2.95 p&p per month) has remained a constant with me since I first subscribed.  I like getting to try lots of different products before making a potentially expensive and regretted purchase.

Every month I also complete short surveys to get reward points that can be used against purchases from the Birchbox shop.  A nice way of saving up for full-sized luxury products that are not normally on your routine shopping list (my latest rewards-points purchase is winging its way to me as I type).  January’s Birchbox was lovely with 6 luxury sample-sized products and one full-sized item in the form of a pilates band.

Box contents: Stila lip glaze in the shade ‘Gleam’ 1.5ml (£15 for 2.5ml), Philip Kingsley body building conditioner 20ml (£19 for 250ml), Caudalie Vinoperfect radiance serum 10ml (£45 for 30ml), HealGel intensive 5ml (£37.50 for 30ml), Activbod cooling finish lotion 20ml (£12 for 100ml), Embrace Matcha green tea 1 serving (£24.99 for 30 servings) and a Birchbox/Women’s Health pilates band (£7.99 each).

Out of all the products sent there is only one (Activbod cooling finish lotion) that I will pass on to a friend as it’s not my thing.  The rest will all be used. 🙂  My favourite products were the Caudalie serum (one of my favourite brands), the HealGel (I have been dying to try this) and the Stila lipglaze (perfect alone or as a lipstick topper).  I can’t wait to see what February has in store for me! 🙂

Traci-Ann 🙂
