Favourites: Top 10 for April 2015!

It’s favourites time again! As the owner of a large makeup and beauty collection I am always mixing up the products I reach for, and this month was no exception with products new and old making it into my monthly favourites. As the weather warms up I am constantly seeking ways to control shine and keep my makeup in place…and I have a few gems in here that are helping with that. So without further ado, here are my top 10 favourites for April 2015…

lipliner

1 – Max Factor Colour Elixir Lip Liner in the colour Pink Princess – I am really into lip liner, mainly since I have ditched the gloss and gone back to lipsticks. These Max Factor liners (Cover Girl in the US) are creamy, long-lasting and pigmented and definitely stand up to their higher-end counterparts.

maclip

2 – MAC Amplified Creme lipstick in the colour Impassioned – My sister bought this for me as a gift and I LOVE it! I have nothing quite like this colour in my collection (the photo doesn’t do it justice). It’s creamy, hydrating, super pigmented and long-wearing and the perfect colour to take me into the spring/summer seasons.

dandelion

3 – Benefit Dandelion Face Brightening Powder – This is an oldie but a goodie and perfect for those out there with pale skin. This pink-toned face powder is the only one that makes me look perky and alive…great for those mornings when you are just not feeling it. With this powder, no one will know!

primer

4 – Rimmel Match Perfection Fix & Perfect Primer – This super creamy, mattifying, blurring, pore-filling primer is just fabulous! It’s cheap as chips and does a brilliant job of controlling my shine throughout the day as well as giving me the perfect canvas for foundation application.

nails

5 – Sally Hanson Nail Rehab – This works great as an undercoat and alone to keep my nails strong and stop them splitting. It easily lasts a week without chipping and when applied has practically no colour.

spray

6 – Makeup Revolution Pro-Fix Oil-Control Makeup Fixing Spray – This little fine-misted beauty reminds me of the Urban Decay de-Slick oil control spray…in fact I think it might be a *DUPE*! Great for warmer days to stop your face looking powdery and to keep that shine at bay!

sleepcream

7 – Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream – I received this in a subscription box recently and have been using it every night since. The delicate smell is beautiful and very little is needed to ensure you wake up in the morning with soft, supple, hydrated skin.

bananapowder

8 – Ben Nye Banana Powder – A fabulous mattifying setting powder for my t-zone. I can’t put it under my eyes as any powder there accentuates my eczema, but for the t-zone it’s perfect. The finely-milled powder is colourless when placed on your face…I have pale skin and once it’s on I can’t see it…love love love!

cpncealer

9 – Rimmell Match Perfection concealer – I picked this up in the drug store without any real expectation…and I have already bought back ups as I love it! It doesn’t sit in my fine lines, when blended in with a beauty blender, and it brightens up my under eye area giving me a much-needed lift in a morning.

rtbrush

10 – Real Techniques Bold Metals 201 Pointed Crease Brush – I have a few of the bold metals brushes from Real Techniques but this one is a standout for me. I use it to lay down darker colours in the outside of my crease and it blends them just perfectly. The weighted feel in my hand makes me feel all professional too!

Please let me know your thoughts on any of these products and share your favourites with me in the comments section below!
