Move more, spend less, feel good…

octmovespendfeelIn my latest installment some things haven’t quite gone as planned. But two out of three ain’t bad…right? πŸ˜‰

Move More: Since I last wrote I have been umming and ahhing about joining a gym. There’s no way I am going to get out in nature to exercise, especially now the winter is approaching, and my DVDs are still gathering dust, so what is easier than just rocking up to a class or gym session and just getting on with it…right?Β I was considering Fitness First because they have the classes I like at times I can attend. That was all scuppered when I injured my back. Walking a few feet without back spasms or tears was a luxury….but this is now improving. Once I have that under control I think I may treat myself to that gym membership…maybe…

Spend Less: I managed to stick to my ‘no-spend-athlon’ and did not purchase one single makeup or beauty product during September (essential toiletries excluded). The fact that I could hardly walk or sit at a computer due to back pain possibly helped with this! πŸ˜‰ It felt good rediscovering my existing collection. I am now on a mission to ‘shop my stash’ and also declutter and get rid of things that are out of date and things that I will never use. I’ve recently uploaded a lip product decluttering blog post, getting rid of 65 lip products (yikes!)! In celebration of having such a thrifty September I may have made a few little purchases to celebrate…well you can’t win them all right? πŸ˜‰

Feel Good: I successfully completed my Dryathlon in September and raised Β£30 for Cancer Research. I liked having the extra pennies in my purse and I finished the month with money to spare, which is unusual for me. Apart from the obvious financial benefits I really do feel better for not drinking…so ‘Go Sober for October’ it is then! I have also been challenged by my WeightWatcher’s class leader to do ‘Tracktober’, where we track everything we eat and drink throughout the whole month,Β although I have failed miserably so far and have instead been completing my own deny-everything-athlon. Time to stop because feel good I do not!
