Unboxing: Look Fantastic February 2016

Look Fantastic beauty box subscription February 2016
The Look Fantastic February beauty box appeared on my doorstep this month with a reassuring thud mainly thanks to the current edition of Elle magazine it was sent with.

I cannot remember the last time I bought a women’s magazine, and I will be honest I remembered exactly why I don’t bother. 90 odd pages in and I was still on the adverts, in fact I didn’t actually find any actual content and it made me super grumpy! That aside it’s the content of the beauty box I am most concerned with, so here goes…

Box contents: Monuspa Relaxing Bali Massage & Body Oil; Bliss Pink Grapefruit & Aloe Body Butter; Hi Impact Brows Eyes & Brow Perfector Palette; KMS California Colour Vitality Conditioner; Lord & Berry Matte Lipstick PencilDenman Mini Keyring Brush and Elle Magazine

Looking forward to: The brow palette to help fill in my sparse brows, the Denman brush for a handbag-sized spruce up and the Lord & Berry lipstick pencil because I love the colour. 🙂

So so: The KMS hair conditioner…where is the shampoo (?), The Monu massage oil because ‘meh’ and the Bliss body butter because it’s a teeny tube that will probably only do my feet!

Not impressed: Elle magazine because it’s basically full of adverts.

Despite the so so products I will still use everything in the box as I am trying to use stuff and not waste products. It’s still a great box and I will admit that I am being super picky. I wonder what next month has in store?!

  1. Totally agree on the magazine front, sooo many ads! The brow palette looks really interesting colour wise, would you do a review of brow products and include it maaaaybe?

      • Think about it though. The pictures are still editorial quality or better, it’s not like you’re looking through a Lidl weekly ‘What’s on offer’. You just get fixated because it’s an ad. Focus on the pictures and it’s like flipping through a coffee table book:-)

      • Yes you are right they are amazing quality ads and photos, that is not in doubt…but 90 + pages before any written material is a bit much. Unfortunately I like a bit of something to read. I love fashion blogs, some pics, a bit of writing…just perfect and in small chunks too. I passed the magazine on to someone who would appreciate it far more than me. 🙂
