I have been on a low-buy since the beginning of the year trying to stop frivolous purchases and instead keeping a wish list of items that I would like to buy. This month I wanted to try some Kiehl’s products so when I got to the end of the month, with a chunk of change saved, I hot-footed it to Kiehl’s to make a few cheeky purchases. 🙂 To say I shopped at speed is an understatement. I was in and out of the store in under 10 minutes. Nothing to do with the fact that I had to run to Waitrose to grab a bottle of prosecco and some plastic wine glasses before jumping on my train home…I was against the clock! What can I say! 😉 So let’s have a look at what I choose…
Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment (14g, £20). My ageing, dry under-eye area is possibly the worst bit of skin on my face and something I am constantly seeking to improve as much as humanly possible. I have been patting this on my under eye area morning and night since I purchased it and so far I’m impressed with the results. I’m waking up with smooth, hydrated under eyes and by lunchtime my makeup is not sitting in my lines so much, although this problem is not totally eliminated.
Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 (15ml, £9.50). I am a true lip balm junkie so when a work mate recommended this to me (thanks Jen!) I had to have it! It’s not the cheapest lip balm I have ever tried and when I first used it it just felt like vaseline and I felt a little sad. However, surprisingly, it seems to have fixed my dry, chapped and peeling lips that were almost making me cry they were that bad, and seems to have kept it all at bay! I have been using it for a week…what a difference a week makes!
Kiehl’s Centella Recovery Skin Salve (75ml, £40). I go through periods every-so-often when my skin is super sensitive, dehydrated and sore. I have tried loads of things to help deal with this and for the most part I can sort it, I just need quite a few products to do it. I spotted this skin salve in store and got really excited! I am hoping that it’s a one-stop skin soother that will help my skin recover…and you know what…so far so good! It’s not something I will use every day, mainly due to the price (*gulp*) but for those times when my skin needs a bit of care then this it what I will be turning to.
I also got a few samples in my bag to try: The Midnight Recovery Concentrate, Superbly Smooth Argan Conditioner and Ultra Light Daily Defense Sunscreen. I am looking forward to trying them all out! Happy times! Have you ever used any Kiehl’s products that I need to check out? All recommendations gratefully received! 😉
