A little trip out recently saw me heading to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park to check out their latest exhibitions. I forget that this little gem is only 20 minutes away from where I live.
Now I am no art critic. I will be honest, I often don’t ‘get’ art, particularly if it’s modern art. Despite these flaws I do know what I like when I look at it. Sculpture is one of my favourite art forms. When I lives in Paris I spent many an afternoon just sitting in the Sculpture Gallery of the Louvre, now that I live in Yorkshire (UK), I am so lucky to have a park full of my favourite artistic medium sitting right on my doorstep. I hope that you enjoy a few pics from my day! 🙂
The KAWS outdoor exhibition: This was one of the main reasons I went. To see these massive cartoon-esque sculptures among the trees was spectacular. This exhibition is on until 12th June and there is an indoor gallery also (not pictured here).

Unfortunately I can’t attribute any of the sculptures to their creators other than those by KAWS…I took so many photos and did not get any of the other artists’ names. I will rectify this next time I go as many of the other sculptures are long-term exhibits.
I hope you enjoyed this as it is slightly different to my normal posts. I definitely enjoyed taking and editing the photos!
