I was running low on some of my favourite skincare items recently and couldn’t resist picking up a few extras on my trip to the shops! I went for 4 items and came home with 6…what restraint I hear you cry…although my credit card doesn’t agree! 😉 So let’s have a closer look at my mini haul…
The Kiehl’s Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturising Serum Concentrate (£40.00) sounded like it was right up my street when I spotted it. I was looking for a serum and what better than one that promises to plump up my dehydrated skin. It applies smoothly and everything goes on top of it easily, but I will reserve my judgement until I have used it for a while.
I love love love eyeshadow palettes so of course when I saw this lovely stunning rosey-toned offering I just had to have it. The Maybelline The Blushed Nudes eyeshadow palette (£7.99) jumped into my arms and so far hasn’t disappointed me. The colours are pigmented and neatly arranged into duos, trios and quads to take all the guess-work out of what to apply where. The only downside is there are no matte shades, but let’s face it…I think I have enough of those to fill that void!
I got a sample of this lovely Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse hydrating cream (£21.00) for normal to combination skin in a monthly beauty subscription box and was literally blown away by the results! This daily moisturiser keeps my skin from becoming an oil slick. My makeup applies perfectly over the top of it and it keeps it all in check for the whole day without having to blot! There is also a version for dryer sin types…perfect!
I have had this mascara before and loved it so when I spotted it on offer in Boots I just couldn’t say no! The Maybelline Lash Sensational lash multiplying mascara (£7.99) gives you fluttery separated lashes with added length. It’s my perfect daytime mascara and will be added to my heap ready to be used when my current fav runs out.
I recently ran out of this amazing Body Shop Shea Lip Butter (£4.00) and I just had to replace it! I have it sitting on my bedside table and slap a load on before bedtime to ensure my lips remain hydrated throughout the night. This is a staple in my beauty collection and will be repurchased forever!
Kiehl’s is one of my favourite skincare brands and the Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avacado (£33.00, 28g) is just brilliant! I use it at night and it keeps my dry, sensitive under eye area fully hydrated until morning. I will repurchase this until they stop making it, which I hope is never.
My latest favourite day-time eye cream is the Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream (£20.00). I find that my makeup applies perfectly on top of this and my foundation/concealer does not crease at all! This eye cream really is wonderous!
