Good evening peeps! I have been absent from my blog for rather along time. Life has taken over but don’t fear, my beauty-buying prowess is as healthy as ever! I thought I would ease myself back in with a review of possibly some of my favourite lipsticks ever! Now we are all very familiar with Urban Decay as a brand that delivers palette after palette of amazing eyeshadows…think Book of Shadows, Vice, Gwen Stefani (click link to check out my review!) and so many other spectacular palettes that UD has had to offer over the years. Up until the launch of the Vice lipstick collection I will be honest, until the Gwen Stefani launch, I hardly ever looked at their lipsticks. Now all this has changed!
The UD Vice lipstick collection landed on the lipstick-loving community with a bang! They launched with more shades than I have ever seen at any one time, and they now boast 120 different shades in 6 different finishes! There truly is something for everyone and at £15 a pop (comparable to MAC), what’s not to love!
I gravitate towards the Comfort Matte and Cream shades as I feel these are the most flattering on me and the most comfortable. The Comfort Matte lipsticks knock spots off the Charlotte Tilbury & MAC comfort matte-esque ranges due to the amazing pigment, comfort and longevity, and the Cream lipsticks are a great long-lasting alternative to any high-end cream lipstick on the market. There are some amazing colours in the Mega Matte range however my lips just can’t take it. 😦 I also avoid the Sheer and Sheer Shimmer lipsticks because…well I just can’t justify spending £15 on a lipstick that is hardly there! I also don’t head for the Metallized finishes as I feel I am a tad too old for these ones, but for younger peeps these look amazing!
Swatches of my collection…
The only thing I don’t like about these lipsticks is the gold part of the bullet. That’s the bit you grasp in order to pull the cap off. Speaking as someone who has tiny hands…it’s super tiny. If you have any moisturiser on your hands it is pretty much impossible to get them opened, but you know what? The lipsticks inside are so blooming good that the little bit of extra effort required to get into the bullet is well worth it!
Let me know if you have tried this collection and please feel free to recommend any shades that I just have to try!
