Tried & Tested: The Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel.

Face Mask Friday - Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel

When I remember to use them I really love face masks! They make my skin feel better and I feel as if I am actively doing something to deal with a particular skin concern. So to help me with my goal of applying a weekly face mask I am (if I remember!) going to take you on that journey with me! So here we go with the first one…The Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel mask came in a recent subscriptionΒ beauty box (I forget which one!). So far I have not tried a Murad product that I didn’t like. Now at Β£49.50 (*gasp*) for the full-sized product it is not cheap. However I am willing to pay for things that really work. So let’s look at this mask in a bit more detail.

Instructions: Massage evenly over clean face, neck and chest. You may experience a slight tingling sensation. Leave on for up to 10 minutes. Rinse well with warm wash cloth and pat dry. Use 1 to 2 times weekly.

Application: The mask is quite thin and creamy but that makes it easy to apply and spread around the face. I didn’t put it on my neck and chest as I wanted to get 2 uses out of the sample size I have. If you have ever applied a face product with vitamin C in it then you will instantly recognise the sweet almost orangey smell. It’s nice and not overpowering.

During: This mask comes with a warning that it may tingle, and I can confirm that it does tingle…but in a pleasant ‘I am doing something good to my skin’ way and not a ‘my face is going to fall off’ way! So that’s reassuring! I left the mask on for…let’s call it 10 minutes (more like 20 as I got distracted!) and removed it easily with warm water and a wash cloth.

After: My face still felt slightly tingly afterwards, but still in a good way, and it definitely felt smoother when I applied my face products.

The verdict: I really liked this face mask…the smell, texture, application and feel of my skin afterwards were all good. The only thing I don’t like is the price tag. I wonder if I can get something just as effective for fewer pennies! Watch this space…
