I only paint my nails on weekends and holidays so I don’t profess to be a nail polish aficionado, but when I do paint them I have super high expectations. Now that the Autumn/Winter season is well and truly upon us I went searching for a nail colour that was ‘just right’ and you know what? I think I found it! The bottle design of the L’Oreal Color Riche A L’Hiule polish caught my eye immediately. It’s such a luxe-looking bottle so I couldn’t believe it only cost £4.99! Wowza! 🙂 The shade 666 Vert Absynthe was a stand-out shade, in my opinion, as a slightly alternative autumn hue. I love greens and this is no exception.
Application: As smooth as silk! The brush is wide and flat and the neck of the bottle is wide. This all makes for an easy-as-pie application.
Colour pay-off: Excellent! 2 coats was all it took to get opaque colour with no patchiness.
Longevity: I only wore it for a weekend and it lasted the full 2 days without chipping. I definitely need to try it over a longer period to see how it lasts but the signs so far are good.
Verdict: I am going to de-clutter my current nail polish collection and stock up with more of this lovely stuff! They are currently on a 3 for 2 offer in Boots! Yey!
