I admit I am a sucker for anything limited edition…ANYTHING! That said, when I saw this delicious new NARS Sarah Moon Recurring Dare palette I knew we were destined to be together! After I swatched it, sniffed it (tell me you don’t do this!), walked around the store thinking about it, bought it, took it home and held it like I would never let it go…I had to ask myself…just who IS Sarah Moon?
It turns out she’s a brilliant photographer and her photos adorn the stunning packaging that I will never be able to throw away. Moon has worked with Chanel, Dior, Vogue (amongst others), she shot the 1972 Pirelli calendar (first woman to do so) and she also made a pop video before moving into gallery and film work. Looking at her photography I can honestly say I am captivated – she has a Facebook page that you can check out here that will show you some examples of her work.
Her current collaboration with NARS is truly stunning. The packaging is to die for and what’s contained inside I can confirm meets expectations. I chose the Recurring Dare cheek & lip palette for the peachy blush shades and the fabulous rusty/red lippy and I have not been disappointed. The blushes are incredibly pigmented and long-lasting, the highlighter is a cult classic and will not disappoint and the lip pencil is beautiful. I particularly adore the satin lip pencils for their rich pigmented shades, opaque coverage and lasting finish.
For the rest of this post I will let the photos do the talking, mainly because I’m too excited and can’t wait to slap this on my face again! Enjoy!
