Is This the Best Eye Cream for Ageing Skin? Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado.

Kiehl's Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment

Sometimes I feel I am on a never-ending search for an eye cream that will hydrate my under eyes and stop my foundation & concealer from sinking into my fine (and not so fine!) lines. Browsing around Kiehl’s one day the assistant, after taking one look at my face, thrust this little pot into my hand and pretty much frog-marched me to the till to purchase it! Several months on is this eye cream really worth it? Let’s see…

My skin (eye area): Ageing (I am 40); fine lines and fragile skin around my eyes; dehydrated under eye area; under-eye eczema.

The product: The Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado comes in 2 sizes: 14ml (£20) and 28ml (£33.50). It has a thick consistency. If you are going to apply makeup on top then a tiny amount will do as a little really does go a long way. At night I tend to use double the amount.

The results: I find that my under-eye area remains hydrated throughout the day and although my makeup settles a little into my lines, this is minimal and very easily corrected by patting the area with my fingers. When I wear it at night my under eyes are still hydrated in the morning and it keeps my eczema at bay without having to resort to potentially damaging steroidal creams.

Is this the best eye cream for ageing skin? Well if it’s not THE best it’s definitely one of the best! I have tried numerous eye creams and what makes this my current number 1 is the fact that I do not need separate day & night eye creams, my makeup sits well on top of it and it keeps my eczema at bay. Bonus!

    • It’s really worth a try! When I first got it I put too much under makeup and it was a nightmare. But once I got the amount right (a teeny weeny blob) it worked really well! Let me know if you do try it, would love to hear how you get on with it. 😊
